Program Overview

Tropical Depression Agaton is the first storm this year to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility causing severe flooding across 9 regions in Visayas and Mindanao - nearly the same areas that are still reeling from the effects of Super Typhoon Odette (Rai), the strongest typhoon to have hit the country in 2021.

As of April 16, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that 1.9 million individuals have been displaced by tropical storm and a total of 209,162 individuals are sheltered in 959 evacuation centers.
