4X4 // 4 // Water

Project Overview

The Rally Dos Sertoes is an annual race held through the cities and country side of Brazil. The race tests it’s competitors in all ways; taking them through blazing hot plains and cold forests, through city streets and the most rural of country paths. The race also strives to highlight the amazing people living along the course and to help them through environmental and social actions. The access to these remote villages gained by the 4x4 vehicles is integral in reaching these communities, and gave us the perfect oppertunity to jump on board and implement our clean water programs. “Do what you love and help along the way”- It is our mantra, our guide, our reminder to pursue our passions while not forgetting to look for ways to make a change. Brazil holds nearly 20% of the world’s freshwater resources, and yet do unequal distribution and pollution, a large percentage of the population still goes without safe drinking water. We partnered up with Mitsubishi Motors and Loducca, who provided us with a bad ass 4x4 truck and set out along the course to reach these more remote communities that don't receive help simply because they are hard to get to. Loaded up with buckets and filters, we stopped all along the course to put on demonstrations on how to use our clean water program. It was an amazing experience and a great way to help people who were truly in need and have a bit of fun while we were at it.
