Madalyn and Mikala help bring Clean Water to the Caribbean
I've always wanted to go to the Caribbean...even more so after Mikala and my mom's trips recently! Last night after a weekend of everyone stressing about Irma along with no power and water my mom walked into my room and said "lets go the Caribbean"
For her birthday she wants to be able to take water filtration systems down to the islands and asked that our gift to her be that we help her! Mikala and I are trying to raise $2500 that will buy 50 water filters for the area!
Then, over Christmas break, she is going to take us down to the Caribbean where we can help also!!!
For every $50 filter- the possible impact is that 100 people can get clean drinking water
The mission of Waves for Water is "Access to clean water improves personal and civic well-being, increases overall health, reduces poverty and increases opportunities for education and employment, contributing to the overall advancement of individuals and their communities. We work on the front lines to provide access to clean water through the distribution of portable water filters, the digging and renovating of wells, and the construction of rainwater harvesting and storing systems in places where groundwater is not accessible."
