I personally visited Punta Gallinas in June 2017 and this region of Colombia is in desperate need of water. The water they have is sparse. They last time it rained there was a year and a half ago. Some women walk 4 hours one way to their "family well" and another 4 hours back to their home. If a donkey isn't owned by the family then they have to walk all 8 hours. Each family is lucky to have a well and each contains a lock and key to ensure any water they may have is only being taken by them. Even though they are surrounded by sea, any drinking water is available by the well and any rain they are blessed with. The children here are constantly asking for water. Please help and donate to the Wayuu tribe that lives in Punta Gallinas. Lets help provide one of the necessities of life, water. Thank you for anything you may choose to help with, the Wayuu are gracious and thankful people!
