Captain Ron brings fresh water to el Caribe!!

Project Overview

Mike, Kelly and I are doing a little fundraiser to bring water filters down to somewhere in the Caribbean in early May 2018. We haven't decided on the exact location yet, but we will be working with some local groups to figure out where they are needed most. It's an easy, effective solution to the problem of getting clean drinking water, and we wanted to start this project while people's (and ours) willpower are stronger at the start of the new year.

With this particular fundraiser all of the donated money goes directly to buying filters for those who need them most. So essentially, your money is put to a tangible benefit rather than an organization (not that there's anything wrong with that, Jerry!), and any small amount can have a big impact.

So here's the break down:

-potential impact- 100 people

-filter life- 1 million gallons

-same impact/life as above

-allows for hookup of filters to most faucets

*Filters remove bacteria which cause cholera, botulism, typhoid, amoebic dysentary, E. coli, Streptococcus, Salmonella, Coliform Bacteria, Giardia, Cryptospodium, Cyclospora

****I don't know what half of those are, but they sound pretty pretty bad don't they???

Thanks for your consideration,

Ryan, Mike, and Kelly
